Coats hair and weighs it down

I had high hopes for this shampoo which I started using along with the hydrating conditioner. It seems to coat my hair and make it incredibly greasy. This shampoo gives me heavy and dull hair, NOT hydrated hair. It feels and smells of chemicals. I won't be finishing these bottles.
