**Note: This is not my first Tangle Teezer. I have hip-length hair that can sometimes be a nightmare. It's fairly thick and can get horrible tangles if ignored throughout the day, especially if it's in a ponytail or left down. I have used almost every brush there is (that can be bought in Aus, even a Mason Pearson). One day, I was gifted a Tangle Teezer. At first I was skeptical and doubtful, How could something that looks like it should be used on animals work on my hair? I reluctantly gave it a go and...well, I've never looked back, These thing are amazing! What was always a half an hour or more de-tangling is now at most under 10 minutes. My hair still tangles something fierce, but now I don't dread brush time. It no longer hurts, breaks my hair, or pulls it out. Instead, it cake-walks over tangles, and feels amazing on the scalp as well. I've been stuck at hip-length for a while now, so hopefully with this brush, I can grow longer! Having said that, there are some negatives. For those used to the typical handled brushes, this will be very awkward to hold for a while. I've been using mine on and off for six years (a different one), and even to this day, it can very easily slip out of the hand and end up in your lap or on the floor. Also, they do need to be replaced fairly frequently (usually annually) as the item is still plastic, and the bristles can get bent and damaged, especially with frequent use, which can counteract what it is designed to do, as a worn Tangle Teezer will pull on the hair and can make the brushing experience a little uncomfortable, and, at thirty dollars each, having to replace them can get expensive. Personally, I don't have too much of a problem with having to spend the money to replace them, because as I said, they literally are the best thing for long, tangled hair, and really, what price can you put on having nice, split and break-free hair? All-in-all, I highly recommend this product, and I can't say enough wonderful things about it. If you have hair that tangles, or if you're like me and you want the best for it, give the Tangle Teezer a try! Now there's a Teezer for any hair-type! You won't be disappointed! Oh, and who doesn't love the cool bright colours and designs? With a Teezer, you'll look FORWARD to brushing your hair. I know I do!
