The Retinol Serum 0.5% in Squalane from The Ordinary roll back the tell‐tale signs of ageing. Plumping and firming the complexion, as well as providing protection against harmful environmental aggressors, this lightweight serum is a potent, multipurpose and water‐free solution. Made with a 0.5% concentration of the anti‐ageing powerhouse Retinol, which is a derivative of Vitamin A, the serum helps to minimise the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles, smooth the skin and refine pores. The formulation also includes the antioxidant Squalane, which offers protection against skin damage and helps prevent any age spots from forming. It counteracts any harmful bacteria, so skin is left looking flawless.

Apply a small amount of The Ordinary Retinol Serum to your face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water serums but before heavier treatments. Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure. Store in a cool, dry place. Use each night as part of your evening skincare routine. Be mindful of irritation and reduce usage if you notice any irritation or redness and build up your tolerance gradually.

good for skin, very hydrating
I have used various retinol products but I like this one the best. I keep it in my fridge and its the last thing I put on before going to bed. My skin looks better over night. My pores are smaller, my skin tone looks more even and its even helped when I've had the odd blemish. Will definitely keep buying.
I was really expecting amazing results from this product because of all the amazing reviews, and was hoping to see some immediate reduction of the fine lines around my eyes, but so far I can honestly say I cant see any difference as far as the lines and wrinkles are concerned. I have noticed that my skin has a really healthy glow and appears much smoother. Since I have never used retinoids before, I was worried this would be too strong, but there has been no dryness or irritation whatsoever. Rather than re-purchase this again, I'm going to try The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane and hope it will produce to anti-ageing results that I am after.
