My first hair straightener was a Silver Bullet and I always loved it. When it died I was shattered! I went and bought a GHD because they were all the rage and I always thought it was pretty good and curled nicely. My most recent GHD only lasted close to 3 yrs before giving up and so I considered a Silver Bullet again. I have been using this straightener for a couple of months now and I am SO glad I chose to go back to this brand. What an AMAZING hair straightener! I honestly get the straightest hair when I use this and the most beautiful curls. I normally don't wash my hair for a couple of days after curling it and by the third day I have nice soft waves which I just love. I have had so many compliments about my hair since using this particular straightener. I like that there are a range of heat options and that the buttons are on the inside of the device. It feels nice in your hand, is easy to navigate, glides through my hair without any snagging and most of all, my hair is always unbelievably soft when I am done.
I opted for this straightener over a GHD and Cloud 9 (both of which I have previously owned). It worked great however after only 8 months, I turned it on one morning and it just stopped turning on for no reason. Very frustrating and will not buy his brand again when I know GHD and Cloud 9 last years.
Happy with purchase, as a hairdresser need quick to heat with consistent results on all hair types. 😊
his straightener really let me down. I originally opted for silver bullet over a GHD because of the adjustable heat settings and I'd gone through 4 GHD's in a 6 year period. When I first purchased it, I was in love with it. It definitely worked well. However, after only having it for eight months, it stopped heating up and would cut out if I adjusted the heat setting about 150 and it starting making a strange sound, at 9 months it completely stopped working. Done. After thinking I was investing in a good quality product, it broke. I have contact RY to discuss my options and they've palmed me off saying I'm out of there 6 months warranty. The warranty card that came with the product says it's covered for 24 months and to contact the place of purchase to assist with an warranty issues. Please do your research before buying this product. A very disappointing purchase.
